It’s Groundhog Day!

Well, it’s groundhog day… again… the day we wait for the world’s most famous weatherman, Punxsutawney Phil, to predict the weather for us. What’s his prediction this year, you ask? Six more weeks of winter. That’s okay, though, because since 1887 we celebrate what Groundhog Day is really about: the parties! We get to watch the best movie ever made, eat some great food, and party! Well, actually only Phil has been celebrating since then, but we’ve made it our own tradition. Maybe someday, we’ll make it to the party at Gobbler’s Knob instead of quoting Bill Murray. Happy Groundhog Day!

‘Transformers’ Movie Release Set For July 4, 2007

The Transformers are coming to a movie theater near you! But you’re going to have to wait a while. Set to debut 4th of July weekend, 2007, Dreamworks has started work on a live-action film of the Transformers. Steven Speilberg is the Executive Producer and the director is Michael Bay, from such movies as “The Rock”.

Can I just say that I hope this will be good? It looks to be quite promising, considering some of the names that are attached to it. It’s only been 20 years since the last movie, so it should be fun. I just hope we get another Weird Al track for the soundtrack.

These aren’t the DVDs you’re looking for

CNN.com - Five major changes in the ‘Star Wars’ DVD - Sep 20, 2004

Maybe it’s good enough, but it’d be cool to have the original Star Wars movies on DVD. Oh well, I guess I’ll settle for the Super-Special Edition or whatever they want to call this DVD release. I’m still a Star Wars fan, so I’ll probably end up getting these movies sometime.

I got yer movie right here

Hey, people! If you’ve been wondering where I’ve been, well, at least last night I was busy making a movie. It’s not terribly impressive, by any means, but it’s definitely the coolest one I’ve ever made. I suppose it counts as a movie if it’s basically a slideshow, right? I mean, c’mon. Maybe I’ll post it to this website if I really feel so inclined. It’s probably a bit big, but you know. I did the whole thing in Windows Movie Maker (it’s a bit better than the other program I was doing it in, plus it lets me be pretty much as lazy as I want to). So there’s one Microsoft Program you won’t hear me complaining too much about. It’s easy to use, and it does its job. I wanted to write the movie to a DVD, so I used Roxio, which came with my DVD burner. There ya go! Isn’t that nice. Now I just have to finish burning about 30 copies of this bad boy…

The Bourne Supremacy

Hi, everybody! We just got back from watching The Bourne Supremacy, and it has been determined that it was quite an excellent movie. I can’t say I was a huge fan of the camera work, which was a bit on the “Blair Witch Project” side of things, but overall it was a really good movie. I’m thinking about reading the books, because the movies have been quite impressive overall. Some of the people I was with hadn’t seen The Bourne Identity yet, but they still agreed that it was “a good action movie”. I’d say it’s a bit more than that, but they’re entitled to their own opinions. I thought the car chase was really cool, and it seemed to last a lot longer than other car chases from action movies. Poor Jason Bourne, though, why don’t things seem to go his way? It’s tough being an assassin. I must admit, watching this movie made me seriously consider changing careers. I’m not sure life as an assassin would be worth it. I know, the perks are great, but I guess maybe it’s just not for me.
