So I finally made a new template for this wordpress thing, and I’m liking it a lot, I think. I spent a lot of time messing around with the image replacement stuff to get it to work, and I had to get all the cool buttons as well. It looks hideous in IE, but I’m trying to work around that. I’ll have to use the box-model hack to get it to work, and frankly, I don’t have the patience right now. For those of you who haven’t checked it out yet, you should take a look at the new gallery. It doesn’t have a lot of pictures on it yet, but I’m working on it. The program behind it is called (what else) gallery, and my mentor at work is one of the developers in charge of the user interface. Currently version 2 of gallery isn’t even to beta releases yet, but I like it a lot so far. I’ve got a CVS snapshot of it running right now and it’s going smoothly but is slightly buggy. Also, my genealogy page is getting mad hits: it’s listed on Cyndi’s List as well as a few other places. Some day I’ll get visits to this website as well, but I’m not overeager. Perhaps as I start to write a few things, people will come.

Okay, I know that nobody really visits this site right now, but I’ve got to do something about these templates. You’re killing me, Smalls! Anyway, it looks like it will be a while before I’m able to get around to fixing the templates, so you’re all stuck with what you’ve got! I’m sorry! Have a great day.
